One of the greatest and most memorable moments in the civil rights movement occurred when 200,000 people marched on Washington, D.C., on August 28, 1963. Not only was the gathering of so many united people extraordinary, but that day Martin Luther King Jr. stood before the marchers and delivered his most eloquent and inspiring speech. This video offers the "I Have a Dream" speech in its entirety, as well as footage of the opposition the protesters faced, such as the fire hoses the police in Alabama used to disperse the crowds. |

Raised under oppressive conditions in one of the world's poorest countries, the Ethiopian boy named Haile Gebrselassie was born to run! When he wasn't laboring in his father's fields, young Haile would be running: the six miles to school and back, while doing chores, or simply for pleasure at the end of a long, hard day! In an inspirational and artfully crafted motion picture from heralded filmmaker Leslie Woodhead, the climactic moment comes as the unstoppable Haile chases down his lifelong dream in a stirring Gold Medal performance at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games!. |

Lilias! Alive with Yoga: Intermediate

Publisher: Goldhil Home Media Starring: Lilias Folan Prices subject to change. Please verify pricing during checkout. |

Alive with Yoga: Intermediate is a pleasant surprise, proving to be one of the best of its kind, despite some of the video's more New Age qualities (such as the appearance of a crystal in the opening credits). Lilias Folan's preliminary remarks include certain instructions--such as the importance of breathing through the nose, and moving into forward bends on the exhale rather then the inhale--that are both basic and essential to a successful practice, but rarely mentioned in other yoga videos. The practice itself includes dozens of poses: twists, forward and back bends, moves for balance, strength, and flexibility, and so on. Many are sequenced together in groups such as the "standing series" (a half-dozen basic asanas such as warrior and pyramid), the "down dog series" (requiring more strength and balance), and the "gate series" (focusing on lateral stretches, twists, and hip work). |
